Motherhood makes me crafty...

...or maybe being poor has just made me thrifty. Who knows? But either way, Mailande ended up with a new dress, made by Mommy.

I don't think Mailande was nearly as excited as I was.

Daddy is on the West Coast...

and we are on the East Coast. We sure do miss him!

Sweet Girls

Mailande got to meet her "cousin", Faith Jenkins today. They were both so excited to hang out together.

Football Season

William joined the football team this year and had his first game this week. Mailande was so excited to be his cheerleader!

Work hard, play hard

Week 3 of being a working mom is kicking my butt. I dragged myself home Tuesday ready to hit the floor. I came home to find Mailande had been through just as exhausting of a day. She had so much fun playing, she passed out on the floor.

Mailande loves her Daddy

I had my first week back to work with my students this week. Transitioning back to work has been much easier than I expected. I am exhausted by the end of the week, but everything seems to be going as well as anyone could hope for.

Mailande loves all her sitters and when I get home our afternoons are filled with playing, talking, and sometimes just looking at each other. The days are definitely busier, but we have made sure that we get plenty of time together.

Daddy has been getting his Mailande loving in the morning before he goes to work and has been trying to squeeze in extra baby time this wkend. Mailande sure does love snuggling with her daddy at night!

Weekend with the Mckeebys

Sunday we enjoyed a day in St. Augustine with the McKeebys, John, Anne, and their friends from England. We had lunch at Caps on the Water, went to the seashell store, and took a quick dip in the ocean.
