Mountain Girl

Mailande is loving her time up in the mountains; playing outside, hanging with mommy and daddy, and of course being loved on 24/7 by her grandparents. What will she do when we return home?

14 months

Mailande sure is becoming a big girl and is amazing us everyday with all her new talents. She has been repeating words and doing her best to mimic everyone. The other morning she woke up early, so I placed her in bed with us. Daddy was still asleep so she started rubbing his back to get his attention. "Dad! Dad! Dad!" When he didn't respond she stood up and peaked in his face, "Hey Joel!!" That certainly got his attention and we both about died laughing.

Asheville Arboretum

We made our way to Asheville yesterday for a special gluten free restaurant, farmer's market shopping, and a stroll through the Arboretum. As we left lunch, we got caught in a hail storm, but luckily for us it quickly passed allowing us a nice stroll around Asheville. Mailande sure did enjoy pushing her stoller through the park and was ready for a nice nap on the drive back to Murphy.

Bubble Trouble

Grandma stocked up on lots of fun things for Mailande to enjoy while on her mountain getaway. Grandmas are always the best at picking out cute clothes, awesome chairs, and making sure the house is full of BUBBLES!

Happy Father's Day

While up in the mountains, far away from work, Mailande and Daddy were able to enjoy lots of snuggling and playing time together. Grandpa McKeeby received his fair share of baby loving too. Sadly, Grandpa Dorn is hours away back home. We sure did miss him on Father's Day, but we sent him lots of love over the phone. I LOVE YOU DAD!
